Pelorus Sound Water Taxis are owned and operated by your hosts, and they operate in the beautiful Pelorus and Kenepuru Sounds. If there is something you would like to see or you just want to see “around the point”, Chris can take you on a guided tour and share many stories relating to the history of the area.

Havelock is the gate way to the Pelorus Sound which offers lots of attractions.
Walks, Boating, Fishing , Kayaking, are just some of the activities to explore the natural wonders of the area. It also has a great history with gold , timber, farming and now marine farming.

Head to Cullen Point, only 5 minutes from Havelock, for an hour long bush track where you can enjoy glorious views of the Pelorus Sounds, excellent views of Havelock and of the sunset if timed right.

Pelorus Scenic Reserve walking tracks, 15 minutes from Havelock, walks in mature lush native bush, Nydia track Marlborough Sounds 2 day walk along the Pelorus River from 5 minute walks - 4 hour hike.

The Nydia track is a wonderful 2 day walk, the 27km track meanders through a variety of regenerating native bush and beautiful untouched forest. The track crosses the 2 saddles with superb views and follows the sheltered shoreline of historic Nydia Bay. Chris could drop you off at Shag Point for the Nydia walking track.

Havelock is only a stone’s throw from the Marlborough wineries; visit vineyards and taste some of Marlborough's famous wines.

Within the hour you are in Nelson City, arts capital of New Zealand with studios and galleries to visit, festivals in every season and artisan markets. The central business district of Nelson city has a compact layout and is simple to navigate and enjoyable to walk. Sea views, historic buildings, Queens Gardens, the Cathedral, the Maitai River, Rocks Road and Tahunanui Beach are all striking features of the city.
